LYNCHBURG'S DOWNTOWN THEATERS

Lynchburg at the turn of the century was a popular destination for audiences and a popular venue for live acts. Many entertainers like Maude Adams, Paderewski, and Geraldine Farrar performed at the Academy of Music or the City Auditorium. The Museum will feature programs, advertisements, tickets, and photographs from these sites, along with items from performances.

MICHELE RICHARDS FREDERICKS  

Michele Fredericks is a Lynchburg native who recently moved back to this area to work professionally as an architect. Drawing inspiration from both her travels and her architecture studies, Michele enjoys working with color and creating works that are playful and light. Landscapes and abstract art are her favorite genres, and her abstracts are in turn inspired by landscape.

PERMANENT COLLECTION EXHIBITION

The list of artists represented in the Club’s Permanent Collection reads like a “who’s who” of well-known people in the Lynchburg art world from the 1890s until the present.
