This new initiative to help residents learn more about vegetarian and vegan cooking—will include free food tastings!

"We will offer a few vegetarian/vegan dishes for guests to sample that are delicious, healthy, and meat-free! Visitors are welcome to take home printed recipes and other handouts to learn more about how a plant-based diet can help to save money, improve health, and even save the planet!"

THORNHILL WAGON COMPANY EXHIBIT

The Thornhill Wagon Company was founded in Lynchburg in 1898 by Benjamin P. Thornhill; by 1936, it was the largest independent manufacturer of wagons in the United States. Historic photographs, catalogs, and advertisements will be on display along with a miniature Thornhill Wagon.

END OF THE SUMMER SALSA PARTY WITH DJ STEPHEN GREENE

From 8PM - 9PM there will be a beginner salsa lesson then enjoy social dancing from 9PM - 1AM.

DAVANA ROBEDEE: Exhibition Opening & Artist Talk

Davana’s work is often interactive and ever-surprising contemporary work. The installation ensures to be a sophisticated surprise. Her resume of exhibitions includes: Germany, UK, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, and the AC Institute.

Bring in your broken appliances, electronics, and other items that need repairs. Our team of "fixers" will help you discover the problem and work with you to repair it. No guarantees, but we'll give it our best shot! If you don't have anything that needs fixing, come work on some of our broken items. Lend your expertise or learn from others.
