Visit The Lynchburg Museum’s booth at Get Downtown. They will have kids games to play and coloring pages available for kids to take. Bonus, some of the staff will be in costume!

7 HILLS ART CLUB AT RENAISSANCE THEATRE

The 7 Hills Art Club will be hanging art at the renaissance theatre for this month’s First Fridays. It will be open to all club members so expect some wonderful works of art with many different mediums. There is no specific title for this showing as various artists will be choosing their favorites to show. As usual all art will be for sale and able to purchase and take home that night.

PRINT A POSTER AT GET DOWNTOWN

The members of Vector Space built a letterpress and designed a poster just for Get Downtown! Come print your own commemorative poster at their booth on Main Street.

The makerspace will NOT be open during First Friday in September. Instead, join us at the Get Downtown street festivalfrom 6:30-10pm for some old school, hands-on printing press action. Our booth location is TBD.

The Lynchburg Art Club’s September Exhibit, “WHAT IS REALism : 3 VARIATIONS,” showcases the work of artists Steve Glaze, Ron Sumner, and Russ Voelker. The exhibit will open on First Friday, September 6, with a reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will run through Sunday, September 29.
